E85 Diesel
E85 and diesel are distinctly different types of fuels used in internal combustion engines.
E85, also known as flex-fuel, is a blend of ethanol and gasoline, typically containing 51% to
83% ethanol depending on the season and region. It's primarily used in flex-fuel vehicles (FFVs)
designed to handle varying ethanol concentrations. On the other hand, diesel fuel is a heavier,
oil-derived fuel used in diesel engines, known for its higher energy density and efficiency compared to gasoline.
Diesel engines compress air to ignite the fuel, rather than using spark plugs like gasoline engines. Each fuel
type serves specific vehicle types and performance needs.
