Driving Green

We have you covered. Pari Mart Truck Stop now offers Compressed Natura Gas at our Thackerville location. “CNG is a readily available alternative to gasoline that’s made by compressing natural gas to less than 1% of its volume at standard atmospheric pressure. Consisting mostly of methane, CNG is odorless, colorless and tasteless. It’s drawn from domestically drilled natural gas wells or in conjunction with crude oil production.” Source: CNGNow “Domestically abundant. According to The Pickens Plan, natural gas is our country’s second largest energy resource and a vital component of our energy supply. 98% of the natural gas used in the US is from North America, but 70% of our oil is purchased from foreign nations. And still, less than 1% of natural gas is currently used for transportation.” Source: PBG Energy, Inc.

E85 Diesel

E85 and diesel are distinctly different types of fuels used in internal combustion engines. E85, also known as flex-fuel, is a blend of ethanol and gasoline, typically containing 51% to 83% ethanol depending on the season and region. It's primarily used in flex-fuel vehicles (FFVs) designed to handle varying ethanol concentrations. On the other hand, diesel fuel is a heavier, oil-derived fuel used in diesel engines, known for its higher energy density and efficiency compared to gasoline. Diesel engines compress air to ignite the fuel, rather than using spark plugs like gasoline engines. Each fuel type serves specific vehicle types and performance needs.
